I've been Tagged!!

Alrighty, so I'm a little slow, but Bryan just pointed out to me that Katie had "hubby tagged" me. I had not noticed when I checked your blog, sorry, Katie :) But now that I got it figured out, here it is!

What is his name? Bryan Jacob Guymon
How long have you been married? Almost 4 years - our anniversary is a week from today!!
How long did you date? We're still dating :) In real life, it was four months before getting engaged :)
How old is he? OLD - he's 28!
Who eats more? Usually him, but if it's Mexican food I can beat him by a long shot!!
Who said I love you first? I waited patiently until he figured it out and said it first ;)
Who is taller? He is.
Who sings better? Well, this is a tough one because Bryan sings ALL the time - I live in a real live musical most of the time. In fact, as I type this he and the kids are in the kitchen singing up a storm! :) However, for those who have heard Bryan sing, they would probably agree that I am better at staying on tune. But not by much!
Whose temper is worse? Umm . . . we're both pretty even tempered, but both have been known to loose it on occasion . . .
Who does the laundry? I do (mostly)
Who does the dishes? Bryan after dinner - isn't he great?!? I usually do them during the day.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Laying in it, he does.
Who mows the lawn? Lawn? Do people have those?
Who pays the bills? Bryan does - he has it so organized, way more than it would be if I did it!
Who cooks dinner? Usually me, but Bryan does on occasion, such as tonight. Again, isn't he great?!?
Who drives when you are together? Usually him, unless it's me picking him up from school.
Who is more stubborn? I think me
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Bryan claims I'm never wrong (ha ha ha) so I guess that would be him!
Whose parents do you see the most? Right now neither :( Any parents want to come visit??? When we go visit, we see them both pretty evenly, I think.
Who proposed? He did.
Who has more friends? Probably him, unless you count all of Joshua's three year old friends as mine :)
Who has more siblings? We're tied! He has three brothers and one sister, I have three sisters and one brother!
Who wears the pants in the family? I think we both wear pants ;)

Okay, so now I tag Kristen Clarke, and Becky Williams (in Lubbock, sorry, I know more than one Becky Williams!)

a SCREAMIN' good time

So today was the dreaded doctor appointment for our kids. While out of town we had missed Joshua's three year check-up, and now that Grace is one, she was also due for a check-up. What a party!! I knew Joshua would be worried about going to the doctor, so I tried to set him up by telling him last night that we were going to the doctor today. I can't say it helped, but, hey, I tried. Well, two finger pricks and six shots later (all of which were for Grace, poor thing!), after being poked and prodded in places we won't mention, I walked out of the office with two tear-stained faces in tow. The good news is that both kids are perfectly healthy, they're growing like weeds, and their lungs work extremely well! We had to take a trip to the mall for soft pretzels and gummi bears to recover. :) So, that said, will someone please explain to me why Joshua wants to do nothing but play "doctor" now?!?
And since it just doesn't feel right to create a post without a picture, here are some recent pictures from a trip to the park :)

So cute - even with the sun in their eyes!!

The big 2-5, strep throat, and Valentine's Day!!

Well, what a week we have had, and it isn't even over!! So it all started with Grace coming down (or should I say up) with a fever on Monday afternoon which caused her to wake up every 1.5 hours Monday night. Let's just say it was a very long night that resulted in two very tired parents in the mornng, as well as a little girl who was now feverish and beyond tired! But we put on our happy faces anyway becuase it was my 25th birthday!! WHoo- Hoo! Am I old or what? Please don't say yes becuse I still don't feel too old! :) We had a fabulous day. Bryan felt a little bad leaving me home with a sick baby on my birthday, so he stayed home which was fabulous! We went out to lunch, and then later Bryan made me his crazily delicious Chicken Cordon Bleu Pizza (complete with a salad - a real sacrifice for Bryan!) for dinner. Of course we also opened presents, which was fun for all! Joshua sure loves present opening and was a big help when I couldn't figure out how to get the paper off by myself! ;) Then we watched a movie.
All in all a wonderful day, except for one small detail: I was sick by the end of the night! I had a high fever and a very sore throat! What luck! So I went to bed early, hoping that would help, but, no sir! The next morning I was worse and I spent all day laying on the couch watching my kids play on the floor and trying (unsuccessfully) not to fall asleep. My sweet husband came home early to take care of me, which I think the kids appreciated even more since mom sure wasn't doing much! By then I was pretty certain I had strep throat, so we went to the doctor. Sure enough, I was right . . . and I was on my way to the pharmacy with a perscription!!!
The next day was Valentine's Day, which always seems to turn into a crazy day at our house for some reason or another, so why should this year be any different? :) Our dinner plans got pushed aside and my poor husband had to settle for a delicious dinner of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast . . . cooked by himself! He couldn't even get a kiss from his wife! But you know, I think that I love him even more and that this was my favorite valentine's day yet! Nothing says "I love you" like telling your sick wife who hasn't worn makeup or done her hair for two days that she's beautiful! I love you, Bryan!!!
So anyway, I know I've gone on and on, but I was also thinking about turning 25. I remember the year Bryan turned 25, it was the same year that my cousin and my cousin's husband turned 25 as well, so we were all talking about what they'd done with the first quarter of their lives. My cousin and cousin's husband were saying how it didn't really seem like they had much to show. So I was thinking about my 25 years, and here is what I've come up with: (Only since High School, I won't bore you with everything before that!)
I moved to Rexburg and attended BYU-Idaho for 2.5 years
I fell in love :)
I became engaged
I transfered to USU
I moved home
I got married
I had Joshua
I graduated from USU
I moved to lubbock, Texas
I had Grace
and I have cheered Bryan on through over have of his law school experience and will keep cheering him on . . . forever :)
So that's it. But you know, I think it is enough.
I'm feelin' pretty good about life right now. :)
And for those who like pictures, here are a few of the accoplishments I am most proud of:

No, Bryan doesn't typically wear a cowboy hat :)
I just think he looks really HOT!

These pictures were our attempt at self-portraits.
Fun and very cute, but I don't think we will be quiting our day jobs! :)

Just Thinkin'

So today has been one of those not-so-hot days. Grace has been teething which makes her a little grouchy and throws off her sleeping (which adds to the grouchy factor!) which throws off my sleeping, which makes me grouchy! :) But I was looking for some other pictures and I came across this:

It sure brings a smile to my face and helps me to remember that even on the bad days I wouldn't change being mom to these two adorable munchkins for ANYTHING!
And here are the pictures from Grace's first birthday. We were watching her walk around the living room today and it just seemed unreal that she could be so big already! I love to watch her and wonder what she'll come up with to get into next, because with Grace, you never know! We really love her excitement for life. She is a wonderful mix of sweetness and adventure rolled up in one cute little body with chubby cheeks and big blue eyes!

The birthday girl . . . drooling like a maniac

because of the teething thing, but still super cute! :)

Opening presents!

The fabulous butterfly cake - I was just happy

it actually ended up looking like a butterfly!

And the demise of the butterfly cake :) She enjoyed it

very much, as I'm sure you can tell!

And here's to another great year for you, Grace! It will be full of many fun adventures and bonked heads, I'm sure!! :) We love you, pretty girl!

More of January

Alright, here are the last few pictures from our mega Christmas vacation!!
There are actually more from the Guymon family Christmas Party, but Bryan has them on a disk somewhere, and I am not sure where, so i guess this is it for the looongg holiday vacation!

Enjoying sunny San Diego
This is Sea Port Village. We had a picture of our family taken in this exact spot when we were here for Wayne and Kristen's wedding luncheon, so we had to do a little reinactment!
These next few pictures are from our trip to the Wild Animal Park. We were so lucky to see so many family members and do so many fun things over our vacation! We really enjoyed the time to relax!
