Welcome to the Zoo

Two weekends ago we had the fun opportunity to go and visit Bryan's brother Wayne and his family for the day! Bryan's parents were in town visiting Wayne, Kristen, and Stanley for the weekend, and they were all kind enough to let us join the party Friday evening and Saturday (Thanks for having us Wayne and Kristen!).
We had a great time!
Friday night we got to go watch a gymnastics meet at the University- that was awesome! Those girls were so good!
Kristen was a gymnast in college and it was alumni night, so we got to cheer extra loud for Aunt Kristen!
Then on Saturday we got to go check out the Zoo.
It was a great Zoo, and it was fun to spend time with family!
Welcome to the Zoo!

a.k.a. "Flamingo Boy" :)
It looks like the Zoo is fun for parents, too!

Cousins!

And here we are, me and my handsome husband!

I had to include a picture of us together because this was our 6th anniversary!
Can you believe we've been married six years!
It doesn't seem like it has been that long to me, and yet we have crammed so much craziness in those six years that you would think we had been married longer! I think going to a zoo on our anniversary is quite appropriate - some days when I look back at how my life has changed, and how many times plans have changed, in the last six years, it looks a little zoo-ish. :) But it's all good...really good.
Everyday I look at Bryan and I am reminded of how blessed I am to be married to him. Really. He is so good to me. We get along so well. I feel like we grow closer and fall more in love with each passing day. It's a pretty sweet thing, the love we share.
So I'm grateful for Bryan and all that the last six years has brought our way and I look forward to all that the future holds for us!

A little encouragement

I had a few minutes this morning to read the Ensign (A magazine put out by the LDS church) and I found and article that I thought was really good! It is called "What Mothers can Learn from the Savior" and you can find the whole article HERE. In this article the author used a quote about the Savior from President Boyd K. Packer of the quorum of the 12 Apostles that I thought was very encouraging so I thought I would share it with you! He said:

"If you are helpless, he is not. If you are lost, he is not. If you don't know what to do next, he knows. It would take a miracle, you say? Well, if it takes a miracle, why not?"

I love it. I know it's true. Hopefully it brightens your day a little like it did mine. :)

Saturday Mornings

This is an ode to Saturday Mornings!
During Law School, Saturdays were just like any other day - - Bryan studied a lot!
But now we usually have the whole day to be together and do whatever we want.
It's fabulous!
I LOVE Saturday mornings because it is the only morning that Bryan is here when the kids wake up (which also means it is the only morning I get to sleep in! That may have a little bit to do with why I love Saturday mornings so much!!).
Bryan always has the kids help him make breakfast,
either that or he takes them on a donut run!
They love it either way!
We do a lot of hanging out around the house, working on projects, or we go to the park. And we do a lot of this:

Which is basically nothing! That's the best part - doing nothing, but doing it together!Saturdays are sweet days together as a family, they really are.
